The Lau Legacy
Charley Lau Jr. picked up where his father left off, greatly expanding on the Lau method of hitting. After spending time as a minor league hitting instructor, he began teaching privately to Major leaguers, college, high school and little leaguers. This was the perfect opportunity for Lau Jr. to test and refine the method, and respond to the still unanswered questions of successful hitting. Through his vigorous pursuit of proving or disproving the different approaches and theories of hitting, Lau sought to validate his method by identifying the swing's underlying physical laws of science. Lau has developed by far the most effective method of teaching hitting having worked privately with some high profile major leaguers: Tony Gwynn, Dante Bichette, Alex Rodriguez, Charles Johnson, Mark Kotsay, Fred McGriff and many others. Lau has also produced his own video and has developed numerous training aides for hitting. Charley Lau Jr. has also published the highly acclaimed book Lau's Laws on Hitting.
