As a hitting Instructor, Charley teaches the same fundamentals to little and major leaguers alike. "There is one most advantageous method to hitting a baseball. I know how to teach it to players at all levels." Here's what some of Charley's students have to say about him.

A-Rod

After the worst slump of his career, Alex and Charley starting working together to recapture the most dangerous swing in baseball. The result was the American League Most Valuable Player award for 2003.

" The Lau swing allows you to hit for power in all directions. It gives you a certain amount of freedom,It allows you to do a lot of things with all types of pitches. Waiting on curve balls. that's why the weight transfer is so important. "
-Alex Rodruigez, Third Baseman, NY Yankees and 1996 AL Batting Champion with a .358 batting average

David Law

I am a true believer in the Charley Lau swing. Whether you are watching Major Leaguers or Little Leaguers, the best hitters follow Lau's Laws of Hitting. I believe it is never too young for your hitter to learn and understand the art of the swing.

My nine year old son, Nate, used his Lau swing to win his travel team's home run derby. At 62 lbs he was able to out slug the runner-up who was 185 lbs and wore a size 12 1/2 shoe! His younger brother, Ryan, averaged better than one home run every three at bats. Their younger brother, Landon, even practices his swing in front of the mirror. I am convinced that learning the art of the swing will overcome any size challenges.

The boys think the world of Charley and I appreciate all he has done to help them be the best hitters they can be!

Eric Byrnes

Charley Lau Jr., the King of Swing, the Sultan of Swat. As soon as I started taking my hand off the bat, I got immediate results and that famous Lau followthrough.
